This policy explains how Riverside Engineering Inc. collects, uses and shares information when you visit riv-eng.com or submit a project brief or contact request.

Information we collect

When you submit a form on this site, we collect what you provide. Depending on the form, that may include your name, company, email address, phone number, the project location or property address or APN, the project type, the engineering disciplines you need, and whatever you tell us about the project.

We also collect basic technical information through standard web analytics, including your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and how you arrived at the site.

How we use your information

• To respond to your project brief and discuss scope, schedule and feasibility
• To prepare proposals and fee estimates, and to communicate with you about work in progress
• To improve our website and understand how visitors use it
• To meet our legal and tax obligations

Calls and text messages

If you give us your phone number and tick the consent box on one of our forms, you are giving Riverside Engineering Inc. your prior express written consent to contact you about your project by phone call, text message and email at the number and address you provided.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service. You can reach us at any time by calling 888-401-7483 or emailing info@riv-eng.com without agreeing to anything.

A person places every call we make. We do not use autodialers, prerecorded messages or artificial voice. When you hear from us it is someone from our team, calling about your project.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. You can ask us to stop calling at any time by saying so on a call or emailing info@riv-eng.com, and we will honor that request. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not sell it.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:

• Service providers who help us operate, such as email delivery, website hosting and our customer relationship tools, and who may use it only to provide those services to us
• Project participants, where carrying out your project requires it, such as a contractor, architect, consultant or the jurisdiction reviewing the drawings
• Affiliated companies under common ownership, where your project needs a service another company provides, and only to the extent needed to serve you
• Our customer relationship system, where your information is stored and may be shared with affiliated companies for related services. It is never sold to third parties
• Legal reasons, when required by law or to establish or defend our legal rights

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site. It sets cookies and collects your IP address, browser type and the pages you view.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of this site behave.

Your choices and rights

When you submit a form we keep a record of whether you gave consent and when. We keep it so we can show what you agreed to.

Data retention and security

We keep your information for as long as we need it to serve you and for our own business and legal records, which for project files can be an extended period. We use reasonable measures to protect it, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Minors

Our services are for property owners and commercial clients. This site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not submit a form on this site. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it.
